Steven Holt - Director/Co-Founder
Meet Steve, our Dispute Resolution specialist at Sussex Legal Consultants!
With over 20 years of experience, he excels in private and commercial property disputes, covering everything from lease renewals and extensions to boundary issues and easements. His expertise also extends to general civil litigation and corporate disputes including debt recovery and contract claims to Intellectual Property and contentious probate matters. Outside of work, Steve enjoys walking, skiing, and equestrian activities. He's passionate about music and the theatre as well as travelling and exploring new cultures. Steve actively supports local charities including Rotary International and the work of The Salvation Army. |

Carolyn Stoneham - Director/Co-Founder
Meet Carolyn, our Dispute Resolution specialist at Sussex Legal Consultants.
Carolyn has over 20 years’ experience working within dispute resolution. Since qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2010, and more recently updating her qualifications to become a CILEX Litigator and Advocate with extended practice rights, she specialises in property disputes, landlord and tenant matters, debt recovery, and general civil litigation. Carolyn expertly guides clients through all manner of legal issues from possession claims and service charge disputes to all types of leasehold advice for landlords or tenants on issues such as right to manage, collective enfranchisement, right of first refusal and lease extensions. Her thorough understanding of the ever-evolving landlord and tenant legislation enables her to provide invaluable advice to her clients. When she's not at work, Carolyn loves attending live music events, travel, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also proud to sit on the Board of Trustees of a local scouting group and actively supports their fundraising events in the community. |

Louise Horne - Paralegal & Administration Assistant (Accounts)
Louise is a highly experienced bookkeeper who has been with Sussex Legal Consultants from the start.
In her role, she oversees the daily operations of the accounts department, dealing with client invoicing and internal accounting processes. Outside of work, Louise is dedicated to her fitness and regularly visits the gym. She enjoys kayaking and paddleboarding whenever the weather allows, and loves to explore the great outdoors, with Scotland and Cornwall being her favourite walking destinations. Family is a top priority for her, especially spending time with her two grandsons! |

Alison Hatcher - Paralegal & Administration Assistant
Alison is a Legal Assistant at Sussex Legal Consultants, having joined the team in 2019 after more than 30 years as a legal secretary at another local firm.
As the first point of contact for the firm, she is renowned for her warm and knowledgeable welcome. Alison supports Steven and Carolyn with client matters and provides essential administrative assistance to the firm. Passionate about animals, Alison dedicates much of her spare time to volunteering at a local horse rescue. In addition to her volunteer work, she enjoys walking and reading. |

Andrew Tardif - Paralegal
Andy is a law graduate with 13 years of experience in the criminal justice system, most recently specialising in housing provision. He joined the firm to assist the Directors and support clients in progressing their legal matters.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, as well as pursuing his interests in reading, writing, and art. He is a dedicated member of his local church, and a passionate supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion football club, regularly attending matches at the Amex Stadium. In addition, Andy is an active supporter of St Wilfrid’s Hospice, participating in various fundraising events to support the charity. |
